This International Dog Day, we’re shining the spotlight on some of the pawsome pups that are part of the Ryemarket family – from shop-floor supervisors to snack supervisors, and even our resident Pawject Manager!
Meet the dogs who make every day that little bit brighter at Ryemarket:
🐶 Winston – Ryemarket Management
Resident Pawject Manager
Meet Winston, our beloved Shih Tzu with an eye for detail (at ankle height!). He takes his job of strutting through the Centre alongside our Centre Manager, Aaron, very seriously. Whether sprawling out on the cool floors, sniffing out snacks, or greeting visitors with a tail wag, Winston is always on duty. Pop by for a belly rub – he’s never too busy for attention!
🐾 Alfie – Ryemarket Services Team
Alfie prefers to keep a low profile, but trust us – he’s a very important member of the Services Team family. Always on hand to bring joy behind the scenes.
🐶 Bertie – Bodycare
Bertie brings bundles of tail wags to Bodycare – whether lending a paw with the daily routine or spreading cheer, he’s always ready to brighten the day.
🐾 Lily – Costa Coffee
Lily is the true star of Costa Coffee – she’s never short of energy and ensures the team is fuelled with smiles (and lattes).
🐶 Ebby – Hallmark Thorntons
Official Product Tester & Cuteness Consultant
Ebby the Cocker Spaniel has the ruffest job in the Centre – testing Hallmark’s plush toys. She ensures every Popling gets the cuddle test and always passes with flying colours. Quality control has never been so cute!
🐶 Murphy – Hallmark
Hallmark has double the doggy delight with Murphy, another loyal member of the family who knows exactly how to keep spirits high.
🐾 Lucy & Chloe – Fair & Square
Lucy was adopted from ESMA in Egypt and, though shy, she excels at behind-the-scenes stock checking and delivery inspections (with regular nap breaks, of course). Her sister, Chloe, also from ESMA, keeps a watchful eye on things from home. And yes – Fair & Square is a dog-friendly shop!
🐶 Dexter – DSA Healthcare
Intern (Still Learning to Sit!)
Dexter is the floppy-eared intern who’s already mastered one thing: spreading joy. Whether he’s supervising the showroom or sneaking in a desk nap, he makes every day better. Still working on his coffee-fetching skills, but top of the class in cuddles!
🐾 Freddie – Specsavers Optical
Pawscription Checker
This brindle Staffy is a stickler for detail – every pair of specs is sniffed and checked with care. He may not be fully qualified… but his cuteness more than makes up for it.
🐶 Leo – Specsavers Audiology
Hearing Hound
Leo has ears that can hear everything – from the faintest whisper to the rustle of a treat bag three rooms away. Truly the top dog for all things audiology.
🐾 Charlie – Specsavers Customer
VIP: Very Important Pup
Charlie is no ordinary visitor – he’s a Pawtron of Specsavers. Accompanying his humans for appointments, he’s rewarded every time with well-deserved treats. Loyal, lovable, and always the goodest boy.
